Announcements

Optional test on Thursday, April 2, at 9:00 p.m. (approx.)   We will start as son as I can get back from the Julio Ramirez talk.  This test is an opportunity for you to add points to the sum or your first two test grades based upon the following formula: ExtraPoints= (100 - TestAverage)*60.   You cannot lower your grade.

For example. If your current test average is 60% you could earn as many as 24 extra points on the first two tests bringing your average up to a 72. If your grade is 40 you can earn up to 36 points bringing you grade up to a 68%. Someone with an 80 could bring their grade up to an 86. Clearly this formula is designed to help the bottom half of the class the most. Students with an 80 or above have already demonstrated good mastery of the material.

There will be a regular in-class chapter test on chapters 8,9,11, and 12 on Monday, April 6.
