Inspector panels/Mouse-Accessible Objects

The WAVE program is built from encapsulated modules called objects which contain both data structures and the functions which act on the data. The user can access several of these objects directly through clicking or double clicking the mouse, rather than through the menu. Double clicking will generally bring up what we refer to as inspector panels which are described below. If the CUPS utilities do not register a double click, you may need to adjust the double click time using the [Files]|[Configuration] menu option. If the computer registers a single click, as opposed to a double click, an inspector panel will not appear--- rather, the single click allows you press a button or to manually adjust the position of a dragable reflector, detector, segment, or source by dragging the object to the desired position. Finally, if a single click cannot be associated with any object, the program will display the coordinates where the click occurred in the bottom left-hand corner of the graph.
