Creating Periodic Potential Energy Wells: Constant Well Width

The energy spectrum and wave functions for an electron subject to a series of finite square wells is shown. You can change the number of wells while keeping the width of the wells constant (adding a well therefore increases the lattice size).

Note: only the first 14 states are shown.  You may click on a state in the left panel to see that wave function.
