Take the QMVI as a closed book diagnostics test.  Closed book and max time 1.5 hours. (Pledged.)
The QMVI is for diagnostic purposes only and will not affect your grade in any way.

Starting with Maxwell's equations, derive the classical wave equation.  What speed is predicted?

Look up and write down the partial differential equation for one-dimensional diffusion.

Due Tuesday Sept 8 at 10:00.

Griffiths problems 1.1, 1.3, 1.5, and 1.15.

Start on Griffiths Chapter 1  problems 1.7 and 1.9 but finish these problems next week.
