Two Finite Square-Well Potentials

Section 1 Exercises:

1. What are the widths and depths of these two wells?  What is the width of the barrier separating them?
2. What are the energies of the first six eigenstates?  Are any of them degenerate to the accuracy of the measurement?
3. What are the parities of the first six eigenstates?  How is the parity of a state related to the quantum number n?
4. The overall wave function for the lowest lying state (n=1) is the sum of the n=1 wave functions for the individual wells.  What is the overall wave function for the n=2 state?  Is this related to the parity of the level?
