3/12/02  Physicist Paul Davies will be speaking on "The origin of the universe" at Queens College in Charlotte on Thursday, 3/21 at 7pm. He has written several very popular physics books, including The Mind of God and How to Build a Time Machine. I plan to attend this lecture, and hope to carpool with whoever is interested. Note that this lecture follows a 4pm Physics Seminar here at Davidson on "Making nanostructures with highly charged ions" by Laura Ratliff.

Please email me (tigfroerer@davidson.edu) if you are interested in going to the Davies lecture. Also, you need to register (seating is limited) by this Thursday (3/14): send an email message to marchiop@queens.edu.
