Galileo was the first to realize that an inclined plane could be used to reduce the effect of gravity, and he was thereby able to determine the acceleration due to gravity. By varying the types objects rolling down the incline, he was able to show that all objects accelerate at the same rate. Determine if the simulation is in agreement with Galileo's conclusion that the ratio of the distance to the square of the time duration necessary to cover that distance is constant. What acceleration would you predict if the incline were vertical? Assume that time is measured in seconds and that distance is measured in meters in the above simulation.
