Tilted air-track: This animation shows the graph of position versus time
and velocity versus time
for a block or cart sliding up and then down an inclined plane. Did it agree with your prediction? Why or
why not? What happens at t=5 seconds? If an object is moving toward the sonic ranger, is the
velocity positive or negative? (Does this animation agree with your
experience of the sonic ranger in lab last week)? When is the velocity
zero? Where is the block located when the velocity is zero? One
"bounce" of the block is defined as one complete trip from the bottom
to the top and back to the bottom. What is the time from the beginning of
one bounce to the end of a bounce? Finally, explain the acceleration graph below:
