The Open-Source Physics EducatioN, OPEN, project is a synergy of curriculum development, computational physics, and physics education research. This project will conduct a series of  summer for programmers wishing to adopt the Open Source Physics library for their own projects.

Schedule

• Sunday-Tuesday: Java programming using the Open Source Physics code library.
• Thursday-Saturday:  Curriculum development using Open Source Physics programs.

Application Process

Workshop applications will be available on this site in September, 2002.  Application deadline: January 31, 2003. 

Applicants for the programming workshop should list previous programming experience including web-links to applets.  Curriculum development workshop applications should provide information or web-links to curricular material.
