Energy Eigenvalue v4.0 uses the shooting method to solve the time independent Schrödinger equation in order to find the quantum wavefunction and its energy eigenvalue.

This program assumes that the current wavefunction has diverged and that the current energy is
not an eigenvalue if the wavefunction, | Y |,
becomes greater than 10^{12} during the calculation. (This value can be changed
using the Tolerance embedding parameter.) Consequently, the program may not converge to the
correct value if there is a region where the energy eigenvalue is much less than the potential
energy since the wavefunction grows exponentially in this region.
