The Molecular v4.0 Package contains a number of Physlets that are based on a simple hard-disk molecular model. As shown in the examples on the CD, each disk can be set to have a unique size, mass, and color. In addition, each disk can act as a data source that delivers position and velocity information. Finally, the entire ensemble can act as a data source that delivers ensemble averages and histogram data to data listeners.

The Molecular package, along with most other Physlets, solves dimensionless equations. It is possible to set k, Boltzmann's constant, to something other than one using the setBoltzmann method. It is the responsibility of the script author to decide on the appropriate units and to convey these units to the student in the text. Physlets make minimal assumptions about the scale of the system being modeled

Interactions are limited to hard inelastic collisions.
