Gauss's law Physlet-Based Curriculum

These examples of curricular material appear in Section 9.2. Follow a link on the left to go to the individual Physlet problems found in that section and several bonus problems only available on this CD. Below is a brief description of each animation.

Chapter Problems:

9.2.1: The bar graph displays the electric flux passing through the cylindrical flux detector.  Drag the surface and observe flux readings. 

9.2.2: An unknown charge is located on the screen along with three spherical shells (red, green, and blue).  

9.2.3:  The bar graph displays the electric flux passing through a cubical flux detector and a spherical flux detector.  Observe the flux reading. 
9.2.4: The bar graph displays the electric flux passing through a cubical flux detector and several spherical flux detectors.  Drag each surface and observe flux readings.   9.2.5: A test charge starts at rest and is attracted to a fixed negative charge distribution that has a small tunnel that allows the test charge to pass through.
